Space missions, at least in the mid-levels, are paying out ridiculous amounts of xp right now, get your free XP before it gets nerfed.

Don't just run the missions though, use the damn terminal right behind you on your ship and run the ops.

I did lvl 24 on my scoundrel in about 30 minutes, and then tried it on my 16 Jug and did a whole lvl in 20 min.

Lots of comms too, but only for spacy stuff. I would probably get bored doing nothing but space (not to mention horribly outpace my gear/make next to no money per lvl) but if you have an area on the ground that's kicking your butt because you need an extra lvl, run a few space ops and go back after you ding

I wish I could invert the mouse for the space combat but apparently there's no option for that.

I love space missions but definitely buy level 1 gear to make it MUCH easier when you start out.

I do daily PVP and we usually win first round, then a couple space mission dailies and it's almost a level right there.

I'm actually amazed with how well the space missions play. It's like a fun little mini game to take a break with.

I love the space missions, but they're very un-mmo like and more like an old video game. I definately need some upgrades though as I couldn't finish my last two without dying or my escort dying.

The Fleet, and almost every spaceport, as well as crafted ones from Cybertech.

I don't see any need for the Cybertech upgrades. Level 5 is plenty to complete every mission plus the bonuses and once you hit 50 the missions are basically pointless. Also makes me wonder why they made the proton torpedo require level 50 when you no longer care about doing the missions to get XP.

They have plans to expand the space mission minigame, so presumably it will be for that.

Oh and I can't remember which dev mentioned it. But they hinted at Guild ships. The way I see it. It's a placeholder for something epic. The way you look at the Universe and the things you can do with your ship give me hope that there will be huge space battles in the future.
