Snip from the post, which is worth reading in its entirety:

"Swarbrick's comments in March to SI noted the involvement of ND's associate director of athletics for football, Chad Kundler, in identifying and evaluating new coordinators.

"Klunder . . . was elevated to an associate athletic director after the 2012 season, so now is nominally Kelly's boss. More critically, his wife also is executive director of the Kelly Cares Foundation. So it would be natural for there to be split loyalties, and I have some skepticism about how he would evaluate Kelly to his new boss, Swarbrick. Is an associate AD really going to tell his boss to hire a new coach and risk putting his wife out of a job or else cause significant tension?"

This strikes me as something of an alarming revelation. If this is all true, then Swarbrick has an Associate AD for Football (with at least some relevant football experience), who is at least nominally responsible for reporting on football's status to Swarbrick, with a wife who essentially works for Kelly. How does this situation make one lick of sense for accountability purposes? It is a blatant conflict of interest between the athletic department and Kelly to the extent that Kelly is to be objectively evaluated by the athletic department.

The backscratching in this place -- don't even get me started on Swarbrick -- is mind-boggling and utterly inconsistent with the notion of serious accountability.

wat in the actual fuk

swarbricks's kids juiced in @ nbc and UA and the asst ad's wife is vp for kelly cares

this is why kelly hasnt been fairly evaluated and shitcanned

Not going to lie, VT is going to be a low confidence game. VT and OKST are polar opposites of each other. One has leagues best D, leagues worst O. Other has best O, worst D. I'm not exaggerating either, the ranks are top 5 and 120+ for each.

calling va tech a top d is pretty absurd

7 teams below .500 on its sched

and they played delaware and old dominion in the same season

that shit is nerf
