This morning i finish up a 24 hour fast. I do about 1 a week. I just weighed myself, down 50lbs.
Still fat. but a little less so.

Yes. Brother ArakAtak is correct. The truest road to physical health is self-flagellation. Possibly with a little self-immolation to speed the process. Also good job. You will be the size of the midge sooner than you know it.

Good job trying to make your self better. I have to remind myself that while I judge people gross and terrible for being fat. I should not be disgusted by any effort in order to improve their condition, and should remain positive and encourage their effort.

Can we have some more details please? Also, what are you thinking a 24 hour fast will achieve, other than getting you over the 50lb line? That's not a healthy way to lose weight. Is your clock functioning properly?

I've won two weight loss challenges at work. Starving is the only way to do it. Exercising doesn't burn enough calories, but it helps.
Your body will fight to gain that weight back. You'll reach a certain goal, and think you're done. Slowly the pounds will creep back.

Humans have not yet evolved to eat 3 meals a day, let alone snack on crap all day. It has only been a few hundred years (at best) that food has been readily available for everyone. Prior to that, you were lucky to eat 1 meal a day or would go hungry for days on end, so many of our bodies are still programmed to survive through extended periods with little to no food.
For over a few thousand years, people in society could pick out the wealthy based solely on their weight, so eating more frequently became a status symbol to many, and people bragged about being able to eat more than others, and around the 18th century or so, the term "3 squares a day" was born.
Overweight people who claim they "rarely eat but just cant seem to lose the weight" are a perfect example of a human who should only be eating once a day. Their bodies inability to lose weight even though they take in 2k cal a day (hypothetically speaking, of course) shows how some people cannot handle more than 1k calories a day and should retrain the 2 brains to 1 meal a day.

I do just fine eating leftovers in the morning, and a meal around 10pm. But I'm active and get out of the house.
