it'll be quite popular for the first month or two but raiding won't be the same roadblock it originally was. I think people will get more of a 'retail' feeling once the leveling/rep grinds are done. Blizzard will be artificially staggering raid progression but even then, I doubt It'll take more than a year to clear Naxx.

PvP might be a bit more interesting if the average player has more access to raid gear though.

Also, nobody had damage or healing meters, so it was hard to tell who the good players vs clueless ones were.
 
if itll be 40man raids itll still be tough as nuts... though i never raided in vanilla, just a little in tbc with tw crew which was good fun, but that was like 10? man only, any more would be redic

i did join some pub/noob 40man raid once on some giant ogre dood in tbc. lets just say it was a giant fiesta lol
 
if u play it regularly, then yes, WoW is free
u can trade in-game gold for game time

I'll be playing, not interested in playing on a PvP server though. Did that shit when I first started the game, it wasn't all bad, and I definitely had some serious "Oh Shit!" moments that have stuck with my all these years later, but it's too stressful now.

Also, I work too much to really dedicate most my daylight hours in the game.

I might change my tune though if there's an economic benefit to the selling price of in-game gold.
 
fk now i remember that i made some great mods for vanilla but i have no idea where they are and what they did lol
 
It won't truly be a classic experience unless they add unplayable lag to the servers, randomly disconnect players during raids, and create elite guilds which poach all of your geared members.
