This adventure Begins in Neverwinter....

Either you all know each other or not, but meet in Neverwinter for a Job.

A Dwarf Named Gundren Rockseeker has Hired you to bring a wagonload of provisions to the rough-and-tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple of days' travel southeast of Neverwinter. Gundren was clearly excited and more then a little secretive about his reasons for the trip, saying only that he and his brothers had found "something big", and that he'd pay you ten gold each for escorting his supplies safely to Barthen's Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to "take care of business".

Gundren is considered a friend to one of you(who or all i dont care)

2 people can ride in the wagon, but it doesnt move fast so walking along side it isn't a problem(it's pulled by oxen).

take this time to figure out what extra you may want to take with you.

As far as the contents of the wagon, its filled with common provisions, including a dozen sacks of flour, several casks of salted pork, 2 kegs of strong ale, shovels, picks, and crowbars(about a dozen each), five lanterns and a small barrel of oil( about 50 flasks worth) etc.

when you guys are ready, what do you want to do?

Also would prefer ya start at level 1

but im not that picky, just makes it easier for the new characters made to equal the party and such.

About how much does this wagon weigh? I need to gauge how tired I'll be from dragging it along on our journey. Rough estimates are fine. I just want to make sure some of the heavier people don't sit in the wagon and that all the supplies are "required" (I know how some of you can pack). Obviously, I'm uneasy about the "something big" and hope it's just a figure of speech.

Again, does anyone know that I'm a talking horse?

Ok I uploaded my new character, Guv. Please look it over to make sure I did it right.

since i lived in the forest the last 15 years i feel like I should recognize dweeb as different than other horses

u no?

you currently can have 4 spells of first level( still only 2 slots) wisdom modifier+cleric lvl(3+1=4)

you will only be able to cast 2 but you can have four to choose from.

also because of your trickery domain, you have 2 other first lvl spells available to you, charm person and disguise self.

for a current grand total of 6

What's the road like to Phandalin? Is this generally safe? Or are we skirting any hostile areas? I'm guessing the High Road is patrolled and nominally safe while Triboar Trail isn't as heavily travelled.

you are correct, in fact on the second day of travel down the high road you meet a patrol who tells you exactly that, "Be wary once you leave the high road"

i'd Like to know who is in the cart and who will be walking, does anyone have vehicle handling?(you dont NEED it, just curious)

I'm on the wagon. I'm going to take a spot so that I'm covered by the barrels but can still see out.

I have animal handling. Does that mean I can handle draft animals or is that just for riding them?

Im going to try and keep this going every evening. waiting on meyog to make a show as well( if he doesnt one of you can run his character till he shows)

both really, they get startled, you have a better chance of calming them then someone who doesnt.

I'll strike up a conversation with my buddy Gundren, asking him how his life's been since we last saw one another and fishing for clues about what he's discovered.

Since I'm a fucking gigantic dragon lizard biped, i'm gonna walk
my amazingly huge mastiff Heskan is padding alongside me
together we weigh ~550 lbs, and i know the horse appreciates us not adding to the load

does D&D have drugs. if so, i wanna smoke some weed while we walk the high road, timing it to be clear headed by setting up camp time
