TW never ceases to amaze me. This thread could have easily turned into a major flame fest with everyone bashing Vanster for not recognizing the "ho playbook" or whatever.

I guess thats what happens when you aren't a douche to everyone.

everybody likes vanster, well everybody except the people who don't like anybody.

I also don't think I have ever seen Kurayami be so nice before... :worried:
Vanster's a genuinely nice guy. There's no reason to bash him over the head with my internet schtick.

looking now. . .

Ed, where did you find this? I'm so down.

they are a vancouver based company, but have enjoyed ridiculous success because of how good they make a woman's ass look. pretty much every not-fat (and some fat too) woman in vancouver that isn't poor owns a pair of these. they are a bit pricey for yoga pants, but i've rarely heard any woman suggest the price is not worth it (unless they are too poor to afford them).

and if she does a lot of outdoor stuff, she will appreciate them. not as much as you will, but close.

I wish I could afford to take a year off and just hike across the country. That would be pretty badass.

that's the best reason to hike with a chick. Other than making them catch all the spider webs before you. :D

nothing wrong with a good pair of jeans tho.

Heh. Vancouver has this great natural step-climb up a mountain called the Grouse Grind. I do it regularly. most people have come to believe i do this regularly to keep in shape. that is part of the reason, but the other part is that i get to spend 45-50 minutes with my face level with athletic ass in hot yoga pants.

and i am shameless about hitting on tired, vulnerable women at the top of the grind. i am going to hell :(

Skurka gets paid for it. It's a pretty sweet deal, but it has to be murder on your body. The AT is hard enough and it's only 2,100 miles.

IMO his most impressive trip was the coast to coast. Almost 8,000 miles. Not too many people can say that they walked across the continent.

The ~7,000 loop that he did around the west last year was also pretty cool.

Unfortunately, there's really not room for more than one guy like that. He gets the sponsorships/free gear because he's well known already.

really? You'd just have to really like walking to do that.

I like hiking just for the scenery and getting out in the wilderness, I'd think it would be completely different if you spend hours or days just walking along highways in neighborhoods with busses and dogs and litter everywhere.

Vanster, seriously, why did you go to WI instead of her moving to WY? No hate, just trying to understand the rationale for going the wrong direction.

Hay Vanster

Not sure if you're planning on reading every post in this thread, but if you do:

Congrats on finding someone special :) Good luck with the lady!

Kind regards

did he say where he is? Northern WI probably isn't too bad. Boundry waters in MN is one of the most beautiful places around, and I'd imagine there's similar places in WI.

I don't know if I could give up having mountains tho, I'm always wishing we had real wilderness around here. :( Something besides corn.
