I think the breaking glass trick...when it isn't basically just a monitor. Requires pressure to shift the glass, and if you have water on it, I think that would trigger the effect prematurely.

That can be calibrated for: Let's say, the pressure sensor outputs voltage. The controller knows that below X volts, no crack. Above X volts, party time. X can be set to whatever you want. The challenge is that the delta in pressure/weight would be a lot smaller (instead of your whole weight, it'll be closer to portion of your body that's not submerged), so you have tighter requirements, etc.
