At least no one can argue that an Elon reveal is scripted and rehearsed.
He started presenting out of order of the slides too with design inspiration too. He didn't prepare at all.

Imagine what the other truck companies are thinking now.

I wonder if replacing things or fixing them will be super expensive. Showoff consumer aside, would this do well as a fleet for a company/government?

That thing looks like trash, therefore I expect it to be backordered for years.

The price is going to be a problem for other companies. Under 70k for the 3 motor, 500mile range model is a direct shot at rivian. Rivian***8217;s base model is supposed to start at 70k. The rivian platform is being developed along with amazon for their delivery vans and ford for the all electric f150.

Never heard of Rivian until now. Amazon delivery vehicles, yes, that would be a van. JerryRigEverything will probably get one of these. "Glass is Glass and Glass Breaks." "Scratches at Level 6 with deeper grooves at Level 7."

LOS ANGELES: The big reveal of Tesla’s electric pick-up went embarrassingly wrong when the supposedly impact-proof windows smash, leaving a flustered Elon Musk to flounder through the rest of his presentation in front of a badly damaged vehicle.

The Tesla co-founder unveiled the all-electric battery-powered Tesla Cybertruck in California on Thursday, daring staff to hit the vehicle with sledgehammers and showing a video of it withstanding bullets shot from a 9mm gun.

But the demonstration of the vehicle’s indestructible windows didn’t appear to go entirely to plan after one assistant threw a steel ball bearing at the truck – only to see the armoured glass smash.

An expletive could be heard at the Tesla Design Center and as his assistant laughed nervously, Musk said: “Well, maybe that was a little too hard.”

A second attempt fared little better however, and another window was left badly damaged.

“It didn’t go through,” said a clearly uncomfortable Musk, who was forced to push on through the remainder of the chaotic launch with the two smashed windows in full view.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH AHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA HHAAH

Cant make this **** up...

The roof line needs a 3rd facet to not look like a pile of ****. That single peak over the driver's door is retarded. See how the wheel wells form a semi-hexagonal shape? That same design language should be repeated (roughly) over the roof line for visual conformity. Whoever designed this is a moron.

if u have backseat passengers, u want a van not a truck

(u do need the pickup tho if ur a tiny peepee computer dork poser working @ the cube farm, like 99% of non-fleet pickup buyers)

Edofnor never heard of transporting the crew to the job site and not having everyone separately drive their own vehicle.

cube farmer and poser pickup owner data never heard of a using van for the crew rather than having the company buy several glorified suvs that will only carry 2 extra workers each

It's like a Delorean and an Aztek got together after a few too many drinks then Musk's design team got ahold of the baby and human-centipeded that ****.
