Eat a high fat, low-moderate protien diet with no more than 5 carbs a day or none.

I'm pretty much holding steady. For the past year and a half I've weighed between 225-235.

I don't drink a lot of soda.
I have been eating less red meat.
I snowboarded like crazy all season.
I started eating turkey bacon, and a turkey sammiches for lunch.
I stay away from mayonnaise.
I actively look for no-corn-syrup drinks. That **** is HORRIBLE for you.
I don't sugar my coffee.
I need to play drums more. I am setting them up again tonight.

Here's my issue: I drink. Daily. Probably on the order of 3-4 drinks a night. I don't get drunk, I just like to drink. I'm pretty sure this is where the excess calories are coming from.

I've tried smoking weed instead, but it's just not the same. I like the taste of drinking, and I like the mild buzz I get. I don't drink and drive unless I've had only one drink, and I don't get rowdy or anything. I get a little silly playing Flight Simulator, but you're not supposed to drink and fly, right? Although I have landed a fully loaded 747 in a monsoon with 40kt crosswinds while pretty lit

I guess I have to stop drinking. I will miss it.

Ill keep it simple.
Drink water.
Lower calorie intake [if taking in 2500 calories, try 1850, or 2000... if you drop calories, youll drop weight]
Exercise. Run, jog, swim... just be active. You need to keep your heart rate up to lose weight as well, thats when you burn the most.

Im 33 and at the lowest weight I have been since I was 16 or 17 and thats from changing my diet 3 or 4 years ago. Im at 6'3 205.

I dont touch fast food unless its a plain hamburger occasionally. But I havnt had french fries in over 3 years.

I eat chicken, beans, vegetables, fruits, egg whites **** like that every day. And I try to exercise alot.

I dont drink and as of december 25th 2006 I stopped smoking.

!) i suggest eating greens, they might not look apetizing, but if you have kds i suggest stop hammering the junk in the fridge, its bad enough you being overweight(if you are, i assume you are at 235lbs) nevermind you're children(if you have them) eating not too healthy, celery is a good suggesting you can eat 5 of thoose and feel as stuffed as having 500 grams of T-Bone steak, just experiment with fruit and veg.

2) just try and get a 30 minutes walk round your hood/block, if you're that serious, get a cheap pedometer (providing it works), the daily amount of exercise you should get is 10,000 steps. any more should make you lose weight, and if you jog, run or sprint, that will increase you're weight loss.

i need to start a diet im starting to gain weight as well, ive gained 30lbs since last year, and am frustrated that ive lost my six pac, and cant run as fast as i use to, im 178lbs today

Easy fix for me was eliminating lunch.
Taking walks everyday.

I lost 25 lbs doing those two things for a month.
Lifting weights while doing that helped with muscle tone.

How many meals were you eating a day? Not good to skip meals especially while doing workouts.

get this. BODYBUGG :: HOW IT WORKS It's ****ing great. counts every calorie consumed and every calorie burned even calories while sleeping/sitting/smoking whatever, every movement, and it really helps keep track of calories. It lets you know how many calories you have left during the day and you can set alarms when you're supposed to eat, wake up or do whatever.

this isnt anything you don't already know. If you didnt know how to keep your weight down, you would be HUGE right now. You're just occupied with life and not thinking about what you normally do that keeps your weight down. Granted your metabolism is down due to age and inactivity, but you seem like a smart enough guy to figure out what you need to do.

Moderation in eating
regular exercise.

It's not like you have to lose 150lbs...you're just trimming and tightening up.
If you can handle a couple hundred gaming nerds for an entire weekend and that handful of a wife you have, this is nothing mayng.

play out more at clubs with lots of lights. jump around onstage. move your ass while practicing, too. work up a ****ing SWEAT.
