Has anyone else seen this? It is a pretty good documentary on Netflix
We're a sort of microcosm of it, or at least evidence of its fallout.

You should watch it.
What you see on YouTube is tailored for you (duh)
Alsonwhat Google starts suggesting as you type in a search is also tailored to you.
The part about pizzagate was great

That must be hard samUwell knowing all you know. My parents died a few years back now, but they were die-hard democrats too. I'd hate to think they would still be voting blue. :/ They've at least seen the Biden/Ukraine video? Riding the Dragon vid?

Please don't NEXT me. I don't want you all to know who i really am.
I think I've done a great job of hiding my identity; you'll never find me.
I'd get fired, wife would leave me, and I'd probably turn to drink and drugs.
I'm really a Taiwanese Bot trying to undermine communist china

You didn't trust anyone would remember Top Gun?
I just watched this Social Dilemma. It was ok. A little too heavy on the preaching and not enough on the specifics. The after school special segments with young Shawn Spencer and the guy from Mad Men should've been left on the cutting room floor, it added nothing. Quite a lot of climate change and anti-capitalism activism in a documentary that had nothing to do with either, but its not surprising that they couldn't help themselves, and they otherwise did a pretty good job being apolitical.

I thought it just reinforced my opinion about social media and the internet in general. It’s not propaganda, all the folks interviewed are heavy hitters in the tech world. I think it should be required viewing for anyone that wants a smartphone or computer. It's also available on tv shows torrent sites
