Who's got some nice large fonts?

I'm old yall... I'm squinting more than ever to see shit. I come back to find I can't use my slightly larger than default flag model now. How rude... But there have to be some nice oversized fonts out there. What you got? Also why does the server say it's 1.11?
 
ya im getting old too and made 3 or 4 this past spring

but u basically have to resize every text container to accommodate them

been slowly going thru the guis but havent really finished

sorta hard to tell but normal tribes fonts are like 8 or 9 pt, these are 12 - 15pt

i never really finished the first one ...well im sure i did but i have no idea where it is, i could probably supply the raw .pft file but you'd have to convert it for 1.40 and rename all the fonts and recolor them. and you'd have to gimme some time on that

and if u really really want to u can try to put just the chat fonts into another config but those same fonts get used other places and its gonna mess menus and other shit up unless you also copy the .gui files ... and resize your huds...

best bet is to use that config as a starter and put your huds/skins into it imo
 
i think part of the issue with GeForce font is that i didn't rename it to enough of the font names (p sure i missed some of the blacks that get used for drop shadows) and when it tries to determine the vertical size of a font for a dropdown it uses one of the old fonts so it gets it wrong

u really have to nerd out and basically replace all the fonts (not just the ones u think u want to change) to get it to justify right vertically, and then you still have to manually resize the .gui files for horizontal fixes
 
I love the size. Makes it a lot easier to read but had to take them out because they do mess with the gui menus which is annoying. It also means I can only use 3 lines with my current config which is also a problem since larger fonts means less information displayed. I'd have to resize everything to display more lines without looking goofy. I may take the time to fix it all but that seems like a lot of work. Balls

ya thats kinda why i made the config with the font, i knew no one would resize everything on their own it was kinda a huge pain in the ass
