i dont know if it was mentioned

but the flag hug fix was commented out for a reason

it makes the first cap count double if you're there when it happens

there was another thread on it. all main servers were patched that I know of.

Verify the sequence of the FlagCaptured and TeamScore Active messages. If TeamScore comes first, the server isn't patched.

We're talking about whether or not the client can verify the server has the fix applied. If not, the client could employ it's own pseudo fix. I'd drum something up, but it's fairly simple. Just check the sequencing.

Okay, maybe scratch that. While it is possible, and I did drum up the code, I don't see the point. Not all servers are zadmin, and to 'detect' the fix requires a flag-cap ( which triggers the remotes on the client ).

Yeah Mav, the fix is in the patch. Maybe it should be pulled if all the servers don't need it?

It's an isolated issue with ZAdmin. The client is unaffected by the patch when not actively connected to a ZAdmin server. To remove it would be removing functionality that is / was supposed to exist.
