After just spending $10 on paper towels it occurred to me that I was raised to use paper towels for literally everything, I use them all the time.

When I am done cooking dinner the trashcan is like 90% paper towels

Does anyone here NOT use them and just use regular towels and then wash them? It seems much for cost effective at the cost of cleanliness.

i use regular towels for some things (like drying dishes & whatnot) but i end up using paper towels for a lot of minor spill cleanups and stuff because i hate the earth

a roll of paper towels lasts about a week in our household of 6, while we probably wash 2 dozen dish-towels on average a week.

i use them for anything even napkins etc

it is pretty wasteful gfg

a roll lasts quite a while at our place.

dish towels to dry dishes, clean up small splashes.

if something is chunky like soup that needs to be cleaned i'll use paper towels

to clean the range on the oven i'll use a scouring pad and let it air dry after its cleaned.

God, I love paper towel. We've literally been raised with the knowledge that it's the best way to get rid of spills.

I still use dish towels to dry dishes and to dry washed hands.

Yeah this is how I am, but I buy real nice ptowel so its about $1.50 / roll.

I ran out of the paper towels the other day and literally thought "**** how in the world do I clean up this mess". I use them to dry pans, clean the counter, dry the counter.... literally everything. sick.

I was raised in a home where using paper towels was basically consensual sex with the devil.


Now I buy 12 packs 2 at a time for 2 people and refuse to use kitchen towels for even lightly drying my hands.

i also think it is absolutely disgusting how ppl use the same towels to dry off from previous showers

i use them on my hands quite often i guess...am kinda OCD about clean hands

but i am not a woman so i don't use them in the kitchen or what have u

I just got over the towel thing and am normal now.

I always used 2 towels: 1 for my top half and 1 for bottom half, then after the shower the top half towel became the next days bottom half towel and a new towel was the next days top half towel.

now i use one and wipe my ass on my face like a normal person

Yes I use paper towels with reckless abandon, this is mostly because I would never trust hand towels in a professional environment because people are filthy, filthy animals and I am pretty sure I spend more time at work than awake at home or it just feels like that.

At home I do try to reduce my consumption of paper products as paper towels do seem like a waste of money when I use 17 to dab up a little water on the counter.

I made eggs this morning, I made a conscious decision to dry my hand on cotton hand towel

saving the world and $$$, take that paper towel industry!
