The good news is that you're no longer going to wrecked tourist islands. The bad news is that I'm really not sure if Mexico is all that better.:eek: But the Bahamas should be fun.

As for a flak jacket, I wouldn't suggest anything less than an Iron Man suit at this point. :scared:

cozumel is a tiny island off the coast of playa del carmen, about an hour south of cancun
you'll be fine shit head. there's some good italian in playa del carmen (old italian colony). It's a 30 minute ferry between cozumel and playa if you get bored with cozumel

costa maya is probably 5 hours south of that by road, again, you'll be fine
thats basically the same stop though. You can see ruins i guess

costa maya to bahamas what is that, 3 days at sea before land ho?

2+ at sea. I think we leave Playa around 8pm and then the next two full days at sea before getting there at 6:30am on the third day.

Couple other cruises were redirected to Aruba. I was hoping we would be one of them as I've never been there.
