I really wonder what would happen if this green deal passed in its entirety.
Look at the high speed rail project in SoCal between la and San Fran, over time, over budget, and constantly being scaled back.

On February 12, 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom in his first State of the State address announced that, while work would continue on the 171-mile (275 km)[9] Central Valley segment from Bakersfield to Merced, the rest of the system would be indefinitely postponed, citing cost overruns and delays.[10] Project costs have escalated significantly from an initial estimate of $33.6 billion in 2008[11] for the Anaheim to San Francisco section according to the 2008 business plan, and a $40 billion total figure given to voters whose approval was sought in 2008.[12][13] The 2008 business plan proposed a 2028 completion date for Phase 1 and a one-way fare of $55 from Los Angeles to San Francisco.[14] In 2012 the Authority re-estimated the project's cost at $53.4 billion (2011$) or $68.4 billion (YOE)[15] In 2018 the Authority pushed estimated costs to between $63.2 billion and $98.1 billion (YOE) and delayed initial service to 2029, with Los Angeles to San Francisco service in 2033.[16][17][18] However, environment reviews for the entire San Francisco to Anaheim route would continue.[19][20] The cost for Bakersfield to Merced is $10.6 billion.[21]

Ya only 3x over the original estimate now and only doing Bakersfield to Merced. Woah such progress.
Why doesn’t someone ask AOC about the high speed train timeline? 50 yr project seems reasonable lolololololol.
How the **** does it take 50 ****ing years?
Could you imagine starting as an intern at 22 and finally realizing the finished project as a 72yr old retiree? Wtf California lol. No wonder trump wants his fed bucks back.
