So i did something out of normal day to day procedure today. I listened to NPR while taking my kids to daycare.

It sure was an experience. One that has really captured my internal thought this morning.

So after they were finished calling Trump anti semitic for forwarding a tweet where someone called him the King of the jews, they went into a piece about what is happening in Mexico at their southern and northern border.

They had a translator on who told the story of a young migrant from South America looking to join the American dream. She was fleeing from the overt violence that was running rampant in her small village town. Once she crossed the Mexico border, her and her daughter were captured by 'men with tattoos'. They were then held hostage for 6 months while their family, who had already made it to America, attempted to raise $8,000 to pay for them to be moved North towards the US border. Once they were paid, she made her way painstakingly towards the US. Finally she arrived at the Northern border to make her crossing, but was quickly turned away and told to go back home by the MEXICAN government. She was then forced back south and never had the chance to step 1 foot on US soil.

As i listened to the radio hosts voice crack while trying to fight back tears, my heart was filled with joy.

Then i thought, "i wonder how that libtard feels about this whole situation" and tried to put myself in their frame of thought. Its hard to do, because one can only see the positive side of this whole exchange. What Trump has done will go down as part of his legacy. It won't take long for stories like this to make it back home to the main land and people will just stop making the trip. By strong arming the Mexican government through threat of tariffs, Trump has almost single handily built an 'iron wall' at the Southern Boarder.

No congress needed (like they would ever fucking do anything).

It would not surprise me if we see one of the biggest falls in illegal immigrant apprehensions of our lifetime.

NPR announcers all sound like they are on Thorazine. Also yes, they are not hiding at all how liberal they have become..Shame, they used to be a pretty non-biased news outlet.

NPR has gotten a LOT worse, even in the past 3-4 years. I do listen to it because it's good to consume some liberal media so you know how they think.

I know exactly what you mean about the woman newscaster's voice holding back tears. They also have upspeak problems, and sound angry or concerned when talking about Trump. It was not always like this. NPR's women use to be normal newscasters who presented the who, what, where, when, and why of news with a pleasant but not emotional voice.

NPR's bias is almost always bias of omittion. For example, they had a bit about raising min wage and listed the following stats:

-How many workers would be lifted out of poverty
-How many workers would also be unemployed

Well, obviously it it will cause droves of workers to be unemployed, it out put them into poverty. This stat, how many it would put into poverty, just is not mentioned. That's how NPR spins stuff.

When they play audio of Trump speaking, they very often only take audio clips from when Trump is on the White House lawn with Marine One making a fuck ton of noise in the background, so Trump has to yell to reporters. The setting is never mentioned, so if you just listen to NPR you'd think Trump just yells at everyone in an exacerbated voice.

See thats half the problem. The bible contradicts itself. It states that men were selected by God to be placed in government positions therefore we should follow the law of the land as laid forth.

It also says love all people.

So, imo, by following the law of the land we are showing more compassion for those people making the dangerous trip, getting rapped, dieing.. ect...

If the law said just let them in/no borders and we still had the greatest empire ever created, then yea, i wouldn't give a shit. But thats not the case and even your tiny libtard brain can understand we can't feed, cloth, shelter, and medicate the whole damn world.

The ones most vocal about "compassion" especially when it comes to these migrants aka liberal politicians and movie stars are walled up in their little fiefdom expecting everyone else to do as they say...not as they do.
 
I get a good dose of news from the radio. I never watch TV for news.
I listen to Rush. Counter that with some NPR. I like Michael Barry. Throw in some George Noory for the way outside. I like to check in with Google News and have watched that get turned into an anti-trump weapon. Duck Duck Go news feed is much more unbiased. Jump into some Fox News. Wired Magazine. Some Harvard and Wallstreet journal, local PDX papers, a little BBC. I also listen to police scanners and of course TW dot com - the best news source ever.

That's pretty much how I keep taps on the "mainstream"
