[Mega] MAGA Super Trump Mega Thread

Well the good thing is after 30days we can start laying off all these scab air traffic controllers the good old Reagan way and call in the Air Force. God bless the anointed orange one for taking America back to its small government origins.

Also I think trump was ready to make a deal on DACA but dems refused because it included funding for the wall. Am I wrong here?

Edit: yes $25 billion for wall and pathway to citizenship for current DACA but close down future DACA (because now we have wall)

So trump at $5 billion for security which is same as current border security annual budget and not much different from 2006 security fence act by George w bush that was supported by Pelosi Schumer Obama and Clinton.

Nothing about the current deal is outrageous or outside the norms from what dems have previously supported and signed into law. The only reason they’re not doing so now is because orange man bad.

We invaded iraq and Afghanistan because 3,000 died in 911 but then we refuse to acknowledge the emergency at the border even though many many more people die every year than 911 because of the porous border. Thanks for killing Americans brain damaged leftists. The released fed statistics are just brushed under the rug and omg mc Donald’s in White House gtfo

For comparison, data from the Texas Department of Public Safety shows that some 7.5 million arrests were made from 2010 to 2017 (data for 2018 was not yet available), including 6,161 for murder, 177,000 for aggravated assault, 14,000 for rape and nearly 89,000 for weapons charges. A 2018 study from the libertarian Cato Institute found that in Texas, conviction and arrest rates for illegal immigrants were lower than those for native-born Americans for most crimes.

The number of family units apprehended at the border more than tripled from 8,120 in December 2017 to 27,518 in December 2018, overwhelming immigration officials and creating a new humanitarian crisis.

Lol ‘emergency’ only 6,000 murderers. That’s a bit more than 1 per day - that are even arrested not to mention those who aren’t. But no big deal I guess if you’re not the one being murdered because we need to keep those sweet sweet chorizos flowing.

A dollar goes pretty far in Honduras where guys get paid $5 a day. It’d be easier/cheaper to pay people to stay put in their own country and get them to work setting up roads and electric poles and make up some simple process factories to make matches and finished chocolates/coffee etc.

chicken isn't really the best metaphor, is it?

it's more like fatty mcfat is having a tantrum and holding everything hostage until he gets what he wants - and most people know that's the case

and :flag: doesn't negotiate with terrorists
Congress can put their bill through, the President can veto it, send it back to Congress to which they can override the Presidents veto. But, they aren't, haven't, and won't do it. Why?

Critters in Congress can override CIC veto
When the president of the United States (POTUS) uses a presidential veto, it doesn't necessarily mean that the bill won't become a law. The US Constitution gives Congress a means to sign a bill into law after a presidential veto has occurred. In order to overturn a presidential veto, both houses in Congress must vote to approve the bill by a two-thirds majority. In cases where a majority votes does not occur, bipartisanship — the act of finding common ground via compromise — can help override the veto by gaining a majority vote. Other alternatives include declaring a law as unconstitutional or ruling against same party affiliation.
Why Vetoes Occur

One of the deep concerns of the founders of the US was that any one branch of the government would seize power and take the country in any direction desired. This is why the presidential veto, and the ability to overturn it, exists. The presidential veto in the US is a means by which the POTUS can reject a proposed bill that has received a majority vote in both houses of the legislative branch of the government, the US House of Representatives and the US Senate.

When the president exercises his or her right to reject the bill and use the presidential veto, the bill is returned to the House or Senate, wherever the bill first started, with remarks from the president on why the bill is being rejected. Often, when the bill originates from a majority congress that is in opposition to the POTUS’ political party, vetoes are a means of defeating bills that the president feels are in opposition to his or her political aims as head of a political party.
Majority Vote and Bipartisanship

While the House of Representatives and the US Senate work together for the good of the country, they do not always agree with one another. In the case of a veto from the president, an agreement is necessary to overturn it. The House and Senate must have a majority vote of two-thirds from both parties to override the president's decision.

Realistically, it is difficult to overturn a presidential veto because there is seldom a two-thirds majority of a political party in both congressional houses. Though occasionally members of the minority party will vote with the majority party, this still may not amount to enough votes to represent a two-thirds majority. On the other hand, when the president appears to be acting against the interest of most members of Congress, regardless of party, bipartisanship to overturn a veto can occur to severely limit presidential powers.

Not all the democrats have TDS. A shit ton of them realize the wall is needed. Another shit ton realize this is a negotiating point and are pissed that the dems are not negotiating.

This is 1/10 of 1%. This is about winning and losing to Trump.. nothing else or no one else matters.

Some of you guys a fucking stupid.. the leaders of the dems/left/faggots are not as stupid as you are

Bob Menendez lashes out at Fox News for beach photo: 'You're neither fair nor balanced' - Washington Times

Mr. Menendez was among a delegation of congressional Democrats who traveled to Puerto Rico for two days of meetings concerning the damage brought by Hurricane Maria and a charity performance of “Hamilton.” President Trump and others have slammed the trip as a “vacation.”

A Fox News producer on Sunday tweeted a photo of Mr. Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat, shirtless on a beach in Puerto Rico on Day 22 of the shutdown. The photo went viral in conservative circles, and “Fox & Friends” reportedly showed it a total of 14 times during its Monday broadcast.

Because the GOP owns the senate, and they won't approve any house budget that doesn't include wall funding.

Then they should do it, rather than say "this is all Trump's fault. This is HIS shutdown."

Let's see if this really is his shutdown or not.

Pelosi asks Trump to postpone State of the Union over shutdown | TheHill

They can't handle trump going up front again.. their poverty base is going to panic, 1 of the downside to making poor and the illegal immigrants your main base

Pretty brilliant move by Pelosi. She's telling him he won't be invited to give a SotU. Trump will no doubt throw a tantrum on twitter once someone explains this to him.

She's also telling him the Dems aren't budging, as the SotU isn't scheduled for another two weeks.

A State of the Union address has not been rescheduled since President Ronald Reagan chose to move his planned Jan. 28, 1986, speech when the Space Shuttle Challenger blew up that morning. Reagan instead addressed the nation from the Oval Office that night and postponed the State of the Union.
