ET - Quake Wars Mod: Tribal Wars

I heard the terrain editor for the game is extremely complicated due to being one large texture... any problems with that?

It's true that it's not really a walk in the park, but there's some very good documentation and a good modding community to offer some support. I'd say the end result is worth it though.

Most of the other processes involved are a bit easier. Per poly collision works quite well, so you can build structures from geometry and do custom unwraps on them so it's quite easy to put together map assets.

Holy crap... I'm buying a new Video Card more Ram and a new CPU just so I can play this mod on maxed settings. Ohh and I need to get ET:QW.

Lol kinda funny so many people want to go by ET:QW for this mod and not for the game itself lol.

Anyway very good gob and like others here said, the models look great.

Well i downloaded it back when if first came out but it played like crap on my pc so..id image after my upgrades it would be much more fun.

This is slightly where I'm torn. I actually set it up more to the center intentionally based off some of the feedback from T1 veterans. The main reason I did it is because many vets use the female model for two reasons. The obvious one would be the smaller hitbox for the female versions of the armor, but they also liked the placement of the weapon a bit more to the middle. Some people claimed that it made it a bit easier to judge where your disc was going to go and it made it a bit easer to get MA's

I might make a poll on this sometime in the future, but it's an easy fix to offset my weapon animations by a few units. Does anyone else think it needs to be changed?

I noticed the weapon being centered as well.. just personal opinion would prefer it to the side..

I'm not going to make up some crazy excuse, but I've been a little bit on the busy side with other things. I haven't lost interest in the project or anything, but I'm having to deal with a work related situation that has been 'foisted' upon me. I'm not too happy about it, but I should be able to resume my work on the project this weekend.

But just as a general update, the netcode updates we've made are going well. We're just cleaning up some little technical issues but it may nearing completion sometime in the near future.
