B/C he is very clever at sucking the dems in to their own traps.
1: Raise enough outrage about the separated kids.
2: Who will save the kids, somebody think of the children.
3: Easy - build the wall and stop them coming. Problem solved, thankyou dems now you can't argue against the wall or you are also all about harming kids.

This is the exact strategy they used with the illegal boat people coming to Australia. Gave them enough rope to be outraged about the death rate on the boats, which gave the government the leverage to force the boats to stop before they launched. All with the nice humanitarian reason of 'preventing deaths at sea on the hazardous voyage' and not 'we don't want any more brown people'

Actually, as much as I hate to agree with Triple, a tariff on Mex Steel does mean exactly that.
Honestly anyone who has an issue with the separation of children from their family, who, by the way, voluntarily crossed a border knowing damn well there's a strong possibility this could occur, is a dolt. The agony that child is facing, is 100% the parents fault. Full stop.
This argument that it's US policies fault is the equivalent of blaming the cat, not the idiot parents, had this cat actually gotten ahold of the child. It's a ridiculous argument and shows a complete lack of accountability. It's an increasingly common pattern occurring in the US and it's highly disturbing. Stop blaming everything under the sun for your problems and start pointing that finger where it belongs.
