Need laptob for work

Dell precision m3800, there's no question. excellent build quality, great options, USB c port that supports docking including power, 4k, good multi touch touchpad, touch screen (never use it)

Dell base install of windows 10 doesn't have anything other than drivers, so bloat is irrelevant.

edit: it doesn't have an Ethernet port, but the usbc dock does and the usb c travel dongle does. Both work flawlessly.

Yeah, I dig Precision Mobiles. Built like tanks, last for frickin' ever. Typing this on an M4400.

this is my second mobile precision. they're fantastic. I hate cheap feeling laptops, my personal laptop is a MacBook Pro Retina which I run Windows on, but it has annoyances which make me greatly prefer the Dell.

I run VMs for actual work, but I prefer the Windows window manager to anything on Linux or OSX, so I use x11 and cgywin to bring the VM applications into Windows.

Get a thinkpad - such as the T400 or above.
