The Official Subject Matter Experts of TribalWar.com

I am an expert in a couple of things:

1. Making myself look stupid (Just look around for my older posts ;) )

2. Screwing up (Not even going to make an example, since there are too many)

3. Wasting Money (Try like 1000$ one night drinking)

4. Azumanga Daioh (Nobody can even come close, I've watched this series 20+ times)

Construction: custom concrete - Worked as a cement shop supervisor long enough to pick up the trade of drafting, molding, pouring and finishing custom concrete architectural pieces (fireplaces, counter tops, tables, pillars, etc). I did some independant work with concrete to pay bills after I left the shop. Anyone who knows about this stuff knows it looks amazing and is crazy expensive (~ $150 a square foot). I'm happy to consult about this shit to TWers for free.

ever do any concrete countertops?
i really like those, i bought a few for a sports stadium a few years ago (and very inexpensive in comparison to new laminate tops which would need to be replaced every 6 months)

bounty forgot to put up there with Maritime firefighting.. which is very distinct from land based fire fighting.

Yup! With preformed holes for undermount sinks even! I've made more countertops than anything else. :]

The word concrete brings up images of sidewalk blocks. It's a real shame because well done concrete can look better than granite! And there's this newer stuff called Ductal that can support its own weight and has a shiney, wet looking finish when used for interiors. But it's extremely expensive right now and you can't buy it unless Lafarge approves of you, so a bit tough to experiment with.

When I buy a house the first thing I plan on doing is ripping out the old counters and cementting everything. Increases the value and makes things look modern, natural and sharp.

Teacher/Education
Educational Laws

I'm almost done completeing my teaching degreeing. I just need to finish my courses this semester. I've been in the class room for more then 300hours. I've taken two Educational Laws classes. One dealing with specific laws and another with specific court cases.

Math-- Math is my second major. There are probably more knowledgeable than I, though.

Fraternity Life -- Fraternity VP and past Treasurer and IFC(Inter(ra)fraternity Council) VP and past Risk Management chair.

Tuba -- Tubeist for 9 years and counting. I tought myself how to play "The Hot Canery" on the Tuba, which is originally for the viola or violin.

Quite right, sir - it's been fixed. :)

I was actually a very enthusiastic member of my cutter's damage control team (nozzleman on hose #1, baby!). We beat out all of the Navy vessels in 1997 during refresher training at NAB Little Creek, VA, and earned a Coast Guard "E" Ribbon (Excellence) for it.

Maritime firefighting rocks. And yes -- it is VERY different than land-based firefighting!

concrete is prolly the wrong word, but don't they use peagravel (or smaller) aggregate in those tops?
and yes! - ductal

Yeah, I'm in Calgary. :]

Concrete is totally what the stuff is. So it's the right word but just a different kind of concrete from the typical gravel/sand mixtures that make up sidewalk aggrigate concrete.

I just did some more Ductal research and am blown away. I forgot to mention how lightweight and durable the stuff is. So right now they're doing different experimental projects with it and it's jaw dropping! Check this out!

I remember when we made some ductal counters that came out feeling almost like a plastic after we finished them a bit.

I'm a civilian helicopter pilot, I think that amounts to the "Aviation: Civilian" field.

Ooh, this list is already useful. Now I can talk to Jodo about Battlestar!

Surprised no one is up for "porn watching" or "masterbation specialist"

Books or Fantasy/Sci-Fi - Harry Potter
I own both hard and soft covers for all books. I have the 6th one in reserve. I figured out most clues and hints and riddles that are supposedly hidden throughout the books. I own and understand the "Ultimate Guides to Harry Potter" books for any secrets and mysteries of the Harry Potter books I may have missed.
