Im not the brightest bulb but I learned this a long long time ago. Also, never post personal info unless you can handle the ridicule that invariably follows.

was it ever confirmed that IPs matched that weren't from a proxy?

also, its not that difficult to smurf IP addresses....since TW has been hacked in the past, anything is possible really.

people have been fucked with on here that have not posted personal info. I know that in the past people got personal info because on the old UVALAN website, it listed full names next to usernames (before nexting was an issue) then people using full names and some internet detective work were able to get even more information like phone numbers, employers, and addresses.

the most useful thing on SA is the button that removes every single post except for the thread starter's

even with that it's just not worth going there very often

the 'subject-specific' forums are never as good as a forum actually dedicated to the subject. i used to read the sports forums, but i realized the only reason was for the information aggregation. i couldn't care less about anyone's opinion there. half the posters are more obsessed with making sure people follow the rules than coming up with any actual content, anyway.

also if you're still arguing about politics on the internet at this point there is probably something physically wrong with you

You're saying that the proxy just happened to show the exact same IP as badmofo's? I'm not a computer expert, but just how is that done? If I'm not mistaken, proxies mask you by putting you behind a randomly generated IP. How would a person go about making their proxy IP match the IP of another poster?

For me, Occam's razor says that he fucked up and logged in a couple of times without his proxy, and it's pretty easy to see that fluffy and badmofo post from the same computer. If this really is a huge conspiracy, why isn't the architect of it continuing to make their IP's match?

Whatever, badmofo kicked the wrong dog and now he's paying for it.
