We need 1900 votes to take over first place. There are 29 people ahead of us, but most have 1700 votes exactly, meaning they have no real votes yet. Two couples have 1800+, meaning they are getting votes on top of the 1700.
 
Also, I noticed that you proposed on a mountain while snowboarding. Very nice.

The only other couple that I know of to do the same thing was the couple that flagged me down while I was skiing to take a picture for them :D
