The latest update for the LogMeIn iPad app now includes the ability to transfer files from the iPad to the remote computer and vice versa.
I use this app to access my home PC, but also to troubleshoot PCs of relatives who call me for tech support. Having the ability to transfer files is a welcome addition, and will come in very handy when I have to transfer a removal tool to a remote PC that can't launch a browser because of malware/viruses.
Files transferred from the remote PC to the iOS device are stored on the device and can be opened in appropriate apps (I was able to transfer a movie file from my home PC and open it in VLC on the iPad.
Previous to this update, you could only tranfer files through LogMeIn Pro. This works with the free version.
Oddly enough, you still can't transfer files between computers using the web version of LogMeIn (and the Android version has not yet been updated).

No, I'm pretty sure you're wrong.
But you did manage to get yourself ignored for being an annoying *******, so maybe you can feel a sense of accomplishment from that.

I haven't tried TeamViewer since it was a stand-alone client. Might have to check it out.
EDIT: Looks like you still have to run an app on both the local and remote machines. That works pretty well for some situations, but I like being able to access my computers through any browser.

Thin skin? How do you figure?
At any rate, I'm pretty sure Google works for anyone, no matter how think their skin is.

Yes, it has been covered by all of the e-knights coming to Rooster's aid. At least, I guess that's what's going on. Or Rooster's mom was molested by the creator of LogMeIn. It's one or the other.

i believe you CAN transfer files with the PC LogMeIn, but you need to pay their monthly fee for the Pro version

Fair enough. I despise browser based remote access utils, personally.

True. I sort of tried to say that in the original post, but after re-reading it, I don't think I was that clear about it.
The monthly fee for the pro version is kinda ridiculous.
The Pro version has some other features, like remote printer access and the ability to stream the sound from the remote machine. But that's not really worth the price.
