[MLB] 2017 Playoffs

John Farrell has been fired as the manager of the Red Sox.

Farrell led the Red Sox to their eighth World Series championship in 2013 and back-to-back American League East titles in 2016 and 2017, but he's been shown the door following a second straight ALDS ouster. Red Sox president Dave Dombrowski noted in a press release that the search for a new skipper will begin immediately. Farrell spent five years at the helm in Boston, compiling a 432-378 record. He should be in the running for a number of managerial openings around Major League Baseball this winter, assuming the 55-year-old cancer survivor wants to jump right back in with a different team.

Gardy's at bat may have been one of the best yankee at bats I've ever seen considering the situation and pitcher he was facing. I'll totally admit to counting the yankees out of it. I mean it seemed pretty damn near impossible after that game 2 loss...I was wrong.


Well it's off to the karaoke bar to sing New York, New York in my Rivera jersey. I happen to have a beautiful Sinatra voice that should win over the the nay-sayers
