did the lastgasp tourney even make it to first round? I can remember my team scrimming a few times but I don't remember playing any actual matches.

lol i made my tigerman's alturistic outlook on life team and then quit tribes and went on vacation after the first round
i just liked the theme team and the fact that when i told people we had anemix on the roster as a last round pick ppl freaked the fuck out

even the 05 one failed terribly too and the twl LT ladder was still active at that point
i heard there was one in 2011 or 12 that made it to the finals but i didnt even sign up for that one

Segarob beat them both. That guy let camp after camp go by (I chased for him many times) and still thought he was doing good. It was like chasing in a pub.
ya but stopping the regrab especially if its on a timed route on flag return is the biggest part of home d that most ppl never pick up on

Well its easier to stop a timed regrab if you've cleared the remaining o after a grab and have the base to yourself. You won't stop many of them if you're chasing halfway re spawning and then clearing o. Sega chased nearly every time. If he was just smarter about it then he would have played much better. Chase is not the most important position in LT. You don't need 2 of them for every grab. But hey, the sun shines on a dog's ass from time to time and that's when segarob style looks genius.
right but there are a lot of times where double chasing like on a breakaway grab or when you want to double d the flag in the field for a bit is very important and if it isn't done the game is ruined and you lose easily stoppable or gotten caps
there is this zealousness to commanding people not to chase as home d ever which is just really dumb and uncritical of the way good timing and good metagame works
v and many other people were oblivious to this for the longest time

i have no interest in arguing with stork about metagame again cuz i think he agrees with me on most of it but is mildly annoyed by me advocating abusing certain cheese tactics like escort caps or chasing as home d
