If you're on a PvE server, what is world PvP like?

That's the one thing I haven't heard anything about, what are the PvP rules on a PvE server? Like how do you get flagged, or can you get flagged like in WoW? Is it just battlegrounds and specific areas?
 
Right click name, hit "toggle pvp flag" or whatever. Or you get auto-toggled if you heal/buff someone that is flagged.

I haven't gotten to an area that has both factions in it yet so I have no idea.
 
I'm thinking of making my alliance char on a PvE and my Sith char on a PvP, but it sounds like every PvP server is completely overloaded with Sith making it a red saber gang-bang :|
