No. It cannot be transmitted through water at all. You are totally and completely wrong

one more time for the slow bus rider in the audience.

you cant drink after someone with hiv and get aids

why?

because there is not a large enough concentration of the hiv virus in saliva, nor is there in tears, nor is there in mucous.

but blood with the hiv virus is a different story. blood cells provide the virus with food, provide the virus with shelter...and while the virus may die about 15 mins in the air by itself....the virus in blood has been proven by the CDC to stay alive for 6 days at room temp.....and longer in other circumstances.

But again, the original conversation wasnt whether or not you could drink after someone with hiv and catch the virus, the original conversation was whether hiv blood and blood products could be used to taint a water supply.

go ahead...call that 'bluff'.

if you lose, and you will, you will agree to have AidsWater as your new forum title.

let me give you a brief glimpse into your fate

In one study, researchers cultured HIV from the plasma and/or mononuclear cells of 51% of 41 bodies being prepared for burial at 0.5 to 21.5 hours after death. Another report described culture of HIV from eight of ten bodies from 1 to 6 days after death.(56) Of this group, HIV grew in culture of five of the blood and five of the tissue specimens HIV grew in culture from skull bone in two cases and in native spleen stored at 20°C for 20 days. These data indicate that exposure to blood and tissues from unfixed refrigerated and unrefrigerated autopsy specimens poses a potential risk of HIV transmission to health care providers.

this is from CDC info. Who do you think knows more about HIV...the Center For Disease Control....or a guy who interns at dell sweeping floors.

This is your chance right here, put up or shut the fuck up. Time to show your boys your little digital cahones...you're not scared are ya? since you know so much about hiv from your years of extensive research in the dell labs, you should have this covered...
only one way to find out AidsWater boy.

No, the original was YOU saying that terrorists could infect a water supply with AIDS. It was not about drinking after someone.

So tell me, Einstein, how are those fluids going to survive in water? It's not as if a water reservoir is a proper environment to sustain blood or semen.

blood doesnt have to survive..its a food source and shelter ofa sort for HIV...doesnt need to be 'alive' just edible
