What if they called Left 4 Dead 2 - Left 4 Dead: The Dirty South instead...and labeled it as an expansion pack. would there be as much uproar?
i think you can play with each other so i don't think porting the maps will even be necessary
In the podcast they did with rock paper shotgun they said they were going to bundle the L4D1 content with L4D2. I think thats the "you can play between games" they were talking about. So far I haven't seen anything about content going the other way.

Good thing they are going to bundle the content I already bought so I can buy it again. Dodged a bullet there.
