if you can believe it, my car actually looks shittier than the one in this pic

I like it a lot. Gas mileage isn't the best or worst, but the ride is pretty good and enjoy it just driving it around town. Blind spots are bad on it but I just bought a couple of those bubble mirrors and threw them on. Let me know if theres anything else you want to know.

Homer Sliceson, what did they do to your Mazda at the dealer's?

Car was rattling from the engine bay, a crazy rattle I've never heard before. I drove into the dealer, guy I always talk to was like "I've never heard anything like that before", and he called over the rotary mechanic, who looked at it for 30 seconds, said "That is sparkplugs related, pop the hood". I popped the hood, he put his arm into the engine bay, fiddled with something and said "Start it up" and it went away. I was there for 3 minutes.

lol, i was driving around on only 2 out of 4 spark plugs for a bit.. i think someone sabotaged my car because they were just unplugged.. i dont keep my car locked because there is nothing in there worth stealing

Trep did you buy it new? Is it a colossal unreliable piece of shit or what?

For a while I was looking at 07/08 A6 and A8s but was ultimately discouraged by all the horrible reliability ratings and talk from owners on Audi forums. They're such sweet cars, damn shame :(

Ok, it has been raining since I got the car so I still haven't gotten it washed or waxed...not that that matters since it needs a transmission but this is my $800 1990 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign.

for some reason i imagine maintenance on that thing will be a total bitch

Possibly

I intend to take my time with it and fix the body spots that I've found, fix the issues I know are there (all minor except trans) possibly have the front seats redone. I know they have conversion kits to stick 350 v8 into some years though I don't know the 1990 is covered in that. They seem to retain their value with it also from watching Barrett-Jackson. Has the stock fuel injected 4.0L straight 6 in it currently.

It isn't intended to be a daily driver.

ps: A* makes some quality shit. I haven't tested their boots, but I have some track pants (actually.. those exact pants he's wearing) and the street cargos, and they're both alright. My jacket is also alpinestars and its quality all around.

amram, you find me a quality boot that someone makes in size 49, ill switch from sidi no problem.

I dealt with the same issues when I was buying my S4....I was even considering an aftermarket warranty. If you follow the maintenance and don't start screwing around with the car, you should be fine.

Not to mention, the S8 has a Lambo-designed engine, so you're not going to get much of a reliability read from his experience.
