Always wanted an Ovation, since the days of 'My Goals Beyond.'

Found one for $449.
And I've yet to grasp why the flame maple top on this grabs me.
In fucking BLUE no less?

That is a crummy picture, doesn't do the quilting justice.

not my pic but that's what it looks like. i've had it for about 6-7 years now, the frets are a bit worn, i'd really like to have jumbos put in

I removed a shim from under the bridge and re-strung it with Martin Lights - 010 - 047 - what a fucking nice guitar!
The materials are cheap shit, with the exception of the top which is one piece.
The truss rod access is a circular removable hatch.

So I look inside - liberal use of foam at the top to the body and anywhere that there is a sound hole - thick rubberized stuff, but still. The wiring is well done but not dressed at all - just hanging in mid air.
What was cool was finding the pencil marks on the reverse side of the top (the interior) showing why they used the other side.

But if you like the Ovation sound...this has it.
