E3 is fun, I recommend PAX 70,000 gamers in Seattle. Heard there is a Party train that starts in SD and makes its way up. Bigger parties, better group of people to hang with.
Few pics from last year

Jesus, I was using IE, how embarrassing.

So is this FTM defaulting to #1 after IE left?
Looks good enough to me; I am done with T1 forever

Yes, when [IE] dropped OGL, [FTM] got the #1 spot, they held it for 2 weeks when R&G challenged and took #1. We kept #1 for the next 6 to 8 months. We lost it to S3 right after me and Rask were away at TWL. That and we lacked to practice any new maps because of TWL.

No, we didn't beat FTM there cause we never got to #1, we did beat them later on once they started playing Everquest. We were #2 or #3 for quite a while and top 10 for a long time but never got to #1.
In T2, TF got to #1 because we were the first to challenge whatever team it was that signed up first but who really cares cause that game was horrible.

We had some tough matches against TF defending #1. SG, Bluenose and Rask are all by far above the rest of the competition for cappers, and all equally deserve #2 ranks behind Nat. Luckily back then in R&G we had some of the games most badass LD

Ok, going by what Snakes, cyanide and some others posted, I'll attempt to roughly trace the history of the #1 spot, at least from the period of May 1999 going forward. Anyone jump in and correct me if you see I've made an error (probably).

S3 re-won back #1 from 5150 and promptly retired (Nuthin left to prove, same night they beat [IE] for something but I forgot why they played [IE] that night)

Now this is a great thread.
TF and FTM held scrims fairly regularly

It was a UVA Lan tournament, no?
IE came out of retirement to participate.
S3 beat 5150 and IE to win the damn thing

I only played on 1 team that didn't get to #1 (Area 51), but that group was still probably one of the top 5 best teams of T2. My next team (Rapture) obviously dominated T2 classic #1
