UFC 86 - Rampage beats down Griffin

did he wrestle in college? I know the ufc countdown showed him wrestling in hs

i didn't think he went to a notable college if any... but yes, he did wrestle in H.S.

LT... he's a good wrestler, but I meant to say he uses his wrestling to advance positions, he's not LnP guy.

I would love to see Forrest "Pillowhands" griffon win... but I just don't think its likely...

My picks:

Champion Quinton Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin
Ricardo Almeida vs. Patrick Cote
Joe Stevenson vs. Gleison Tibau
Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Lytle
Marcus Aurelio vs. Tyson Griffin
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Justin McCully
Jorge Gurgel vs. Cole Miller
Melvin Guillard vs. Dennis Siver
Justin Bucholz vs. Corey Hill

hmm mine are the same.

Rampage by TKO 3rd round
Almeida by Sub 2nd round
Stevenson by Sub 2nd round
Koscheck by SD
Griffin by SD
Gonzaga by Sub 2nd round
Gurgel by UD
Guillard by TKO 1st round
Hill by TKO 3rd round

I'm going to the bar to get wasted to watch this one. I'm rooting for Griffin, but I think Rampage is going to take the fight.

Jackson wins, probably in the third. Forrest is totally insane, which is why he will lose. He'll hang in there for a long time, and possibly be winning the fight after absorbing some of Rampage's best in the first round, but he'll eventually get caught and get himself knocked out. Griffin is too crazy to be a good strategist and play to his strengths and Rampage's weaknesses like the clinch and ranging kicks. He'll go full blast up against a more powerful man and it will eventually catch up to him.

How does anyone say Forrest wins if he starts slow? You cant expect him to finish fast. Weve seen Rampage go 5 rounds against Henderson and win, yet Forrest has never been 5 rounds.
