interpolate is legal and good MID WAY DOWN POST ez install at bottom of post. also use: extremely low in game mouse sensitivity, 400 dpi mouse, 6 clicks windows sensitivity, for easy aim

AFTER instal Important Tweeks:

make sure VSYNC OFF IN GRAPHICS CARD DRIVER OPTIONS

also in config folder find the clientprefs.cs file and make sure these settings are correct.

installation: unzip click yes to overwrite

*note* if you have custom things in your autoexec.cs copy and paste the bottom of the easy netste install autoexec.cs file you downloaded into your own.

-this should make your tribes game feel less laggy

NetSet Variables:
$net::interpolateTime,
$net::predictForwardTime, and $net::predictForwardTimeM ethod.

Both Interpolate and PFT use their default values unless set otherwise.

Example:
$net::interpolateTime = 64; // Default 1.11, 1.30 and 1.40
$net::predictForwardTimeM ethod = 0; // Default 1.40 PFT
implementation. Using this method, the PFT setting does nothing.
$net::predictForwardTimeM ethod = 1; // PFT setting is used now, rather
than the 1.40 implementation.
$net::predictForwardTimeM ethod = 2; // PFT is set similar to 1.40's
algo, but in increments of 32. An experimental setting meant to reduce
jitter.

WINDOWS 8 FIXES AND AUTO PLUGIN LOADING

the patched .exe loads plugins much earlier and can cause problems. this registry fix restores the old behavior where plugins load at the end. i will be removing the patched .exe from all my configs and putting the registry fix .reg file in there instead.

Ok, the good links to DL it are not working well, does anyone have a good link to Tribes that is patched and maybe has scripts loaded?
 
system crashed last night and trives is borked.

I get a windowed screen and my mouse won't track over it.
I think bugs had a fix but I've been owning his ass so badly lately I doubt he'll help again.

aaaand this just now happened to me.

Every time I try joining a server, I get an error and it crashes me. It was working just fine last night, so I've done nothing to the config... Tried restarting computer, turning graphics down, etc - nothing has worked.
 
Windows Update is breaking windows 10 configurations - I have helped a fourth person tonight with the same problem.

The fix seems to be to rename \Dynamix\Tribes\config\playgui.cs file to playgui.cs.off and try to run Tribes again.

Somehow the playgui.cs file is getting corrupted.

i would try the same technique lemon - rename your playgui.cs in your x86 1.41 config and see if you can start it without crashing

some windows 10 update techniques are finding their way into windows 7. some of the "things to disable" on windows 10 for privacy reasons have recent counterparts in windows 7.

it would not surprise me if a windows update is resizing the screen resolution while other things are running
