Dammit, now am going to have to see if I still have it in my collection and re-read it.

I can send the files for Watchmen if you do not have it in your collection still.

I read halfway through it and put it down. I'm guessing it ends really well?

Yerp. Apparently a lot of hard core fans of the comic found the movie ending to be appropriate though.

I haven't read Watchmen but every time I see a trailer or teaser for this thing I can honestly say I'm not getting any more interested in it. Aren't trailers supposed to generate enough hype to get people interested?

That somewhat bugged me too. Not so much what happens, but how it happens.

Ya, instead of a giant squid thing they just cut to the entire cloverfield movie. and when that's over they cut back

edit: I tried reading a Watchman thread on SA figuring that there would be a lot of cool information with such an impressive quorum of nerds assembled. Someone knocked the meta-comic that shows up in every chapter or 2 and the rest of the thread was 'you didn't get, man.'

I got it, but that was still dumb. I got annoyed when I flipped the page only to find out the cool story had to take a break for some emo sailor.

I'll probably check it out if RT gives it a solid rating otherwise it can go screw.

A great trailer would be to scan of a theater full of popcorn eating nerds with shocked expressions on their faces.
Then the hook: "Who watches the Watchmen?"
