Install Error

Greetings everyone! I've been playing Tribes2 on my desktop, and the monitor pooped out. So now I'm trying to use my laptop; unfortunately, my cd rom drive is shot...so no install from original copy

So I've been trying to use the T2 versions found throughout the net (they're the 'tribes2_gsi.exe files') When I try to install it, I keep getting an error "Could not initilize installation (CRC), and then it shuts down.

I've downloaded the file several times and I keep getting the same problem. Something to note, the files look like they're not completed downloads, b/c the icons aren't the computer and software box thingy.

Any have any ideas on this?? Thanks for the help and keepin' T2 alive

Well, you were right...it seems that I had downloaded bad files each time..funny cause they were from different sites.

It finally worked from here ftp://editingarchive.com/775/tribes2_gsi.exe

Also, there's some darn good cooking recipes on tribal war ...kudos maeng kudos!!
