honestly im rather enjoying the game

i just wish the wasteland wasnt so boring, color-wise

i realize that nuclear apocalypse means lots of browns and greys but its gotten to the point where i prefer to move around during night simply because during the day everything just looks terrible

well that and the fact my sneaky sniper owns the night

not true, VATS invokes the turn based feel

if it was not tied to the fallout lore you would be creaming over this game

you just need to take a step back

btw if you crouch and right click before invoking VATS it changes your %... this is beyond what fallout 1 allowed you to do tactically

I would like to see you explain how F3 is even slightly turn based.

If you hit V, you are allowed to take several shots.

There are no turns.

All that it does is slow down time and aim for you.

For something to be turn-based, there must be turns.

if it was not tied to the fallout lore you would be creaming over this game

That doesn't make any sense.

The Fallout games are exceptional.
This is mediocre.
It not being a Fallout game would not make it better, but having to live up to that legacy certainly makes it worse.

on your first point.. AP. are gauged per weapon and by meds

that means strat btw

I think you have better memories of Fallout because of the the rails... fallout2 sucked compared to fallout1.. rush to powerarmor and win.. at least this game has a real fight in it
 
ill never understand the people who hated f2 on the basis it was too easy to rush and grab the power armor

guess what, stop being a fag and try not rushing to san fransisco at the start of the game and you wont have that issue!

the game was flawed, I'll never understand people who respect it

f3 is great - weirdos will of course talk it down.

why does it become an argument against the other games? engines move on, this had a great feel. if you want the old school, play the unfinished f3. I think this was a great job.
