What they always say when they do not know something, just keep asking different areas, eventually you find someone who knows their stuff

i had to buy a weed whacker. There was this one very loud and obnoxious black guy.. typical black guy kind of guy but he was nice... sure loud and obnoxious but he was nice... maybe you just live in a ghetto ass city
ohh and lowes sucks... they dont carry half the **** needed in teh construction industry and its more expensive. They are good if you want all that designer bull**** but if i wanted that i would jsut go to Home depot expo which specializes in that ****.

yeah, lowes is where your mom goes to get a new faucet for the bathroom. Home depot is where you go to build a new bathroom....and get the faucet for cheaper.

i hate people like you
i work in plumbing at home depot and you ass clowns are the worst customers that come in. id much rather help the 70 year old vietnamese man who can't speak one lick of english remodel his entire bathroom than put up with ****tards of your ilk
edit: this thread is mildly entertaining. ive worked in the plumbing dept (it pays the tuition bills) for four years now. some of you are on target and some of you really have skewed perspectives. Home depots are very different store to store and if you think theyre all the same youre ****ing dreaming.
HD pushes customer service, however, the clientele has a huge impact on how associates are willing to help you out. after about the 10th sarcastic ******* of the day (zoph pointing out the air filters after the lady showed him where they were, it probably wasn't her dept and didn't know they carried them) it gets a little harder to put on the charade of World Friendliest Retail Worker.

Then you're really going to hate me.
I go into home depot with 2 pieces of pipe fittings fo some kind. I go to the plumbing guy and say, "I'm looking for something to attach this to this while doing so-and-so." The Home Depot guy's reply is almost always, "What is it you're looking to do?"
Then I'll say something along the lines of, "I'm water cooling my computer and need to run the fitting outside the case with a quick release while not reducing the water flow," I'm building a giant squirt gun that sucks up water from the side of a boat to shoot at people," "I'm building a frame for a photography backdrop, "I'm building a mini keg that uses 2 liter soda bottles."
All those responses are ones I've given. So don't ask me what I'm doing; you aren't going to understand it anyways. Just point me to the 1/4" brass fittings with the 3/8" reducer plzkthx.

I don't mind people liek you at all krustyy, because i know what I'm doing and if you tell me what you want i can get you it. There's nothing wrong with bringing random fittings in (actually i prefer people bring their **** in) and asking for stuff to replicate or adapt to it. What I don't like is when people like EagleScream who waste your time by having multiple people bring the customer back to you just so you can tell them for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time you don't carry it.
edit: and boomerman is funny w/the whole "lol my fired associates are higher ups at HD" thing. I guess it never occured to boomerman that at once point the people who are higher up in his "big box" were let go or quit their jobs before coming to where he works.

For taking home made beer to parties. Easy and convenient.
Or, for keeping in my mini fridge below my desk. Instead of going through 3 diet dr peppers a day, I go through half a 2 liter bottle and spend significantly less on my daily soda consumption.
Also, because it's ****ing cool.

Cheap 3 Liter Kegs
Modify the lid to have a CO2 intake to pump CO2 into the top while forcing soda out from the bottom.
I started working on it. I made the basic hardware that fits on the 2 liter bottle lid. Unfortunately, I had to stop for now because I couldn't get my $20 CO2 pressure regulator (normally used for welding) to fit on my CO2 tank (normally used for paintballing). Plus, it turns out my tank was too old to get refilled.
I'll pick it up again later when I can get a tank that'll fit on my pressure regulator. But it'll be a bit of time for me to get back to finding the right parts. I could just get parts intended for a kegerator, but that'll run me about $100 for something that'll save a couple bucks a week in diet dr pepper. I'd rather find a way to use the cheap **** I already have instead.
