I’m wary about Red China. Have been for 30+ years. They are shrewd, imperialistic and patient. Biding their time and watching East and West (mainly Russia and the US) wearing each other out with proxy wars in Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever. Ready to mop up the remains when they think we are weak enough. So I don’t think they’ll attack Taiwan just yet. We have enjoyed 4 years with a not war mongering POTUS, he is even awarded Morocco’s highest award for his peace efforts. Now, the situation is different. China is testing the resilience of the promise to stand by Taiwan by harassing the island and using harsh rhetoric. It will be interesting to see how it turns out in the end.
