You're missing the point. It isn't that he told the guy. I'm glad he told the guy. I've been in a similar situation and I told the guy too. It's how he told the guy. The object is to hurt her, not him. Hearing that someone you're in love with is fucking someone else is hard enough, no need be an asshat and put salt in the wound.

I understand the logic. In my situation, I wrote the guy a message (I had never met him) and explained to him what was going on. I slept soundly, and the next day my ex showed up and I calmly told her to look at my outgoing messages. I watched her read the letter and nearly begin hyperventilating and I took great pleasure in it. She flipped out. She took my phone and threw it on the ground. I grabbed her flip phone off the desk, snapped it in half, and told her to get the fuck out. It wasn't until that day that I realized I was capable of taking pleasure in someone else's pain. :sunny:
 
I never really took pleasure in it. I tried, but ultimately I still felt bad.

She was a nice girl, she was just batshit insane. I'm hoping maybe she learned something from the whole experience, ie either she's not actually "in love" with this other dude (obviously, but she's young and stupid) or at least that fucking around is not a good idea.

This one was crazy too. Interestingly enough, she ended up dating that guy for about five years - they didn't break up until recently. Quite a bit after this happened we opened up a line of communication, and actually became friends. She moved to Florida (I live in Ohio) and we began to just talk and keep in touch. She was actually in town the other night and I introduced her to my current girlfriend. Strange times.

They do have Santa but he isn't more than some commercial mascot. The reason for this is that on the 5th of December we get Saint Nicholas. He brings gifts for the kids.
 
Obibun, weren't you engaged? If it has beem mentioned before, I didn't see it and I will not read the whole thread. This excessive mentionioning of the words "nerdvirgin" "alpha" "beta" and such is really stressing me out.

Btw yeah, we celebrate today 24th, we have the "Christkind" (christs child) instead of Santa. But american "culture" takes over bit by bit.
