1.4 config beta2 up for testing

Similar to before (see 'older stuff' below), but with these changes:
+newer CTFhud flags
+ItemHUD V3 (+teamhud with obs, no ring around radar, pretty 'Rating' font etc)
+autokit
+killpop now has Nelson from the Simpsons 'HA HA' when you TK
-removed chatframe (use a patched no green lines .exe)

extract on top of your existing install (basic 1.4 or my old config) overwriting files, instructions in the readme

or u can d/l just the updated itemhud.V3 if that's all you want

red dot reticle + clear blue grenade explosion not included! ;) maybe a 1.4 skin pack soon tho

basically my setup is 3 HUDs - Z's blockhud for health/energy, and modified CTFHud and ItemHUD

blockhud brighter
CTFHud.Groove
ItemHUD.Groove
ItemHUD.Groove.V2 (newer)

if you want, you can try out my basic 1.4 config
Groove.140.config.beta
(config only, unzip into your existing 1.40 folder)

the config includes:
-my CTFHud
-my ItemHud
-Z's BlockHUD w/optional Lemon & NoFiX code .cs variations (for ppl who find Z's code laggy)
-lame chatframe (black lines around the chat - currently disabled by taking out the .acs)
-disc, nade, chain, blaster, plasma skins
-minimap icons
-matrix-style chain sound


scripts:
-Blasterless
-HudmessupFix
-Modified smales-style killpop with honk on kill
-volume script (bind in-game volume to up/down arrows)
-plasmatics democam (never tested)

note: the left and right HUDs are about 464 pixels wide each, so they're a bit big for anything 1280x1024 and below

Can you upload your whole Tribes 1.40??
You don't have to, but I deleted everything in my Config and added your stuff, and for some reason it doesn't work at all. WTF, 1.40 is gay.

easiest way is to just unrar a the fresh install of 1.40.655 from dfclan.org and then unrar my config on top of that

its not my whole config folder - just stuff i've added/changed from default, so if you deleted your whole config folder you got rid of lots of standard files my config doesn't replace
 
i still haven't found a really readable font for 1.40 that i like a lot

even with 1.3 i was never really happy with the .pft fonts available

i'm hoping greyhound figures out a way to use normal windows fonts w/scriptgl

It works, but is there any way to make the huds fit for 1280x800?

yeah, at that res they take up a lot of the top space

i suppose besides resizing the backgrounds and changing the positions of everything, you could make your chat fairly narrow and squeeze it in between or put the chat somewhere else

tbch i'd have to be really bored to make a smaller one for lower resolutions so you're kinda on your own for that
