shocklance is easy to counter. just move backwards. unless it's slut on your case you're probably ok. shocklance is a moot weapon against veterans. a heavy can be as efective with sl as a light. it's all about ping and timing. i dont mind sl, it's a leveller when it comes to heavies beating the piss out of a base, whic his all to easy to do. seems the great preventers of this are cg and sl, and maybe some nade spam. but you get a fast moving heavy going backwards, forget about sl from everyone except the best of players. one shot one kills are not so bad once you get used to dealing with them. even the rockets were manageable, it was the damn flyers that were ridiculous. as soon as you spawn you get run over... gay. talk about spam.
