The owners care about markets, long term. That $750m is a drop in the bucket to the NFL. This is just their method of expansion, guaranteed there will teams 2 new teams in California within 10 years.

Would hate to live there but love to visit. Plus Oakland really is a dumpster fire. I'm pretty sure Baghdad would have been a step up.

I can stand Vegas for about 24 hours. Went there too much in my early 20's. Been to Oakland a few times, it didn't seem horrible. Either way, I am sure the fan experience will be much improved.

The only thing good about Vegas is every game is a guaranteed sell out especially the sky boxes with the casinos giving out passes. Other teams sell out (like Miami) but the stadium is empty because the people stay home and watch on TV.
I drove through Oakland to avoid the $7.5 toll on the GG bridge, but didn't stop until I got to Hayward to visit La Victoria Taqueria. Flying into SFO and visiting the roller coaster parks was good, but I wouldn't want to live their either.

The NFL rule on automatic ejections for egregious hits to the head was approved. Sounds like the competition committee expected this

Tony Romo will retire after 13 seasons in the NFL.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Dallas plans to release Romo on Tuesday, but the quarterback is still choosing to pursue a career in broadcasting instead of continuing his career on the field. That is at least for now, with NFL Network's Jane Slater reporting he would "consider" a return if the Cowboys needed him and Pro Football Talk speculating any contract he signs with a media company will include the option to return to the field. If he is done, Romo will finish with 34,183 passing yards (29th All-Time), 248 passing touchdowns (21st), a 65.3-percent completion rate (5th), and a 97.1 passer rating (4th). While his resume is marred by a lack of postseason success, Romo was one of the best quarterbacks of his generation and should receive serious considering for the Hall of Fame.

Probably smart of Romo. Difficult to hang it up but health wise why risk it?

I didn't like the idea of Romo landing in Denver as a player, but this is amazing news. I've had to listen to Phil Simms call Bronco games for almost 20 years. ****ing hate that guy.

he's not really that good, he's fine as a game manager but he's not an allstar quarterback driving a pass heavy offense. even zeke isn't really that great, its just their ****ing o line is so god damned good. demarco murray rushed for like 2k yards behind it, then sucked ass pretty much once he left.
