[Star Wars] Solo

is revan more interesting than I remember? I recall it being an interesting twist, not some deep story. Which side do you make the movie about?

the revan novelization barely scratched his surface and pretty much skipped the bulk of the details of his turn to the dark.....illl take revan or bane at this point

Revan himself isn't that interesting as most of his story and motivation is up to the player in the game. The larger story involving a pacifist Jedi Council refusing to intervene in the galactic war against the Mandalorians and Revan's choice to go fight and the Jedi/Sith war that follows I would think make interesting story to tell.

I did like the idea of a fallen Jedi being reprogrammed through the force. That was a pretty dope twist. It's the sort of twist that would make Rey more bearable as a character.

Trilogy:

1: Revan goes to fight in Manadalorian wars splitting Jedi Order, wins. Ends with discovery of Star Forge.
2: Rise of Sith Empire and Jedi Civil war. Ends with Malaks betrayal.
3: Revan fixes the mess he created.

Darth Revan should obviously get a movie, but nobody knows who that is so good fucking luck. To me, he's one of the most intriguing characters in the sw universe. But nobody knows him except for us real sw fans

Fired directors, reshoots, and the first sign or marketing is 2 months before release. Disaster, thy name is Solo.
Rogue One had similar problems (not as extensive) and it ended up being the best Star Wars outside of the original trilogy. I have some hope.

Already addressed that it's not really the same thing. I'll add that Rogue One was probably the best looking Star Wars film, but the plot was stupid and poorly carried out.

for a movie I think u start where Kotor does for the effect of the twist...

if u wanted to flush out revan there is plenty before kotor (his mentoring Malak, mandalorian war, him wandering off being mind fucking by the vitiate, coming back evil and Malak betraying him)

after Kotor is covered in the novel, not overly exciting, then the swtor storyline really jumps the shark with revan

at some point, they need to go somewhere original.
I think revan is marketable even though he will mostly look like a badass in flashbacks...then you have Malak as a tangible, typical villain. you can easily split it into two films as well

I guarantee if u put a masked revan and malak together in a trailer butchering people and jedi you'll be able to generate hype

Disney won't take that chance

And why should they? Plenty of other low hanging fruit. Maybe in 15 years after they've used up all the widely recognizable sw characters

I'm all for a kotor movie so I can see cgi hk47 kill some sand people and call everyone meatbags
