i got the 5 day free trial email and decided to check it out, maybe cash in my assets for 60 days and start poking around if i can make eve pay for itself without getting too hardcore.

first of all, i have no fucking idea what im doing anymore.

i have assets in c4c and uej. are those safe?

where is a safe place to hang out and what are some good trading paths? :sunny:

Set it as a destination in your map, and see what it says in the top left of your screen.
If you want it to pay for itself, you need either good 0.0 space, or level 4 missioning.
Or be good at buy low sell high.

You can apply to FREE Explorer again, can't remember where our offices are in empire, idle in channel tribalwar to find out.

I'm pretty sure c4c might be unsafe. Keen thing is, we're only 20 some jumps north of you. Talk to someone before you jet, may be smarter to put some assets on teh market instead of a contract sale.

K.

20 jumps aint bad at all. My goal would be to cash out of Fade, then bring a simple fitted fast ship north.

I've forgotten EVERYTHING, but i remember enough to be scared shitless. :ugh:

My main is sitting in Lonetree in a vigil with an empty secure can.

I got pretty pro at moving around zero space, had sweet travel paths and was making a small fortune with just an hour of early morning trading with small frigates.

Once i get out to Fade, i will probably just try to dump everything i got onto the market and cash out as best i can. It appears that i have a small fortune of crap in c4c, plus bookmarks, containers, blueprints and who knows what. I think i had made over 300 million in my 6 weeks of playing Eve. If i can pull that much together, i'll get a 30 day card and go from there (i dont want to pay for eve, as a matter of principle).

Anybody want to buy MILLIONS of gems?

I think that because i'm going to be playing casually, if i even stay subscribed, i may try to do research/mining to keep eve paying for itself. If i can do blueprints and find another niche in the market then that should keep it going.

For pvp, i can always just do support and use my ferox or raven. The few months i played, we were caught up in all that D2/BoB/Goon drama and i got to do recon stuff along with our little cowboy expeditions. Was fun.

so..

1. how do i apply to FREEE?

2. i have about 400m in shit to sell out of fade/dek. should i try to contact diplomats? just pod into there and sell everything? i have bookmarks and a few BPs id like to keep. i dont expect to get my raven or ferox out of there alive. :(

i want to buy a PLEX 30 day thing for 300m. i have 110m cash and need to sell more.

3. if i want to mostly trade, should i head for branch? or should i just stay in empire for a few days aiming for missions till i get a handle on the game again? i can fly a raven but my ship's in dek.

4. suggestions on training goals? is there a program for planning that stuff?

1. I don't think you can apply unless we have an office there, unless there's a method I'm not aware of.

2. Once in FREEE, you should have access to the stations in Fade. Azraely just came back into the game and rejoined and I helped him jump some stuff out of Fade and up to Branch just last night. You would have to fly them to a neighboring system without a cyno jammer to meet up with my carrier though.

3. Trading is mostly an empire thing. If you had a jump freighter, or even a carrier, you could make decent ISK supplying a 0.0 market, but without that, it's too much risk and headache.

4. EVEMon is the defacto skill training planner

thanks.

grabbing latest eveMon. i went to ibuku or whatever and applied to freee again.

i got stuff in both fade and dek. my first goal is just selling crap until i hit 300m for a "plex" or whatever it's called. i can see what's left that i really want to pull out of there. maybe my raven, bps and bookmarks. i donno. :sunny:

how hard is it to obtain a jump ship?

how can a casual player with 2m points be useful?

There aren't any 30-day GTCs anymore, only 60 days.

Going rate is about 600m for a 60-day GTC right now.

With a full set of +4 implants, you can get it down to 120 days, and that's with a completely green character. Of course these are bare minimums, you would want to train Jump Drive Calibration and Jump Fuel Conservation to 5, which is another 2 months.

Well, i setup a training plan for cloaking + amarr transport which can use cloaks. That wont get me a massive hauling capacity, but it's more than enough. Plus, i can work off that for recon stuff.

Are you sure about 30d plex? There are some on the market in lone.

ap, there are ingame "plex" items you can buy for 30days and about 300m.

i just did a 5 day trial for previous subbers. i dont know if the longer steam trial works for previous subbers, but check into that. i admit im worried about being able to make that much cash regularly, playin casually.

PS... need somebody to respond to my FREEE ap so i can go to fade :sunny:

fade probably isnt the ideal place for you to go to bro

and the whole reason i wanted you to post on the forum is because my account is dead but apparently i can 5 day sub as well

Vlasic handles apps. He must be slacking.

Fade is just fine as long as he's in FREEE first. We have blues there and docking rights.

FREEE app went through (thanks) and it's just amazingly smooth now.

being able to hit fade/dek and sort through all my crap makes this picking the game back up much easier and fun. ive already cash in up to 250 million so hitting 300 mill for a plex wont be so bad.

even if i end up just subbing properly rather than plex'ing, i just want to say "eve pays for itself" just once.

i didnt realize how close branch was from euj out of dek, where my raven and badger are located. i think when i stopped playing eve, freee was in the process of moving from fade to upper dek. i dont remember why.

is there a map of branch?

if not, i may put something together like this old map of fade i made years ago.
