That was because of the editing. In her full exit interview she talks about meeting him another time and getting a beer or something. She then later says they can play on xbox live together. They edited it to sound as lame as possible though.

I feel so awkward cheering for a guy on a reality TV show about gaming because I know him from a forum for internet gaming... but oh well :) I got all my roommates watching too!
