Tribes Install Thread and Troubleshooting and INTERPOLATE

I have a Mac book pro and I would like to play the tribes again..
I know fuck all about computers these days so consider me a noob with this.
Anyone know if I can or could help with how to get it to work would be great.

thanks. only problem is the game screen is much larger than my reolution so i cant see everything.. i can use windowed but id like to fix this. is it because im on a mac.. thanks
 
what OS / video card / resolution?

a lotta the configs are probably set to 1920x1080 but that doesn't really explain no mouse in windowed

intel video seems to suck for t1, also could maybe play with the windows compatibility options

also :wave: sammy, iirc u were in abusive with my buddy Choc and im p sure we played against each other back in the day

i wanna say u were in a team called SFA or something at the time? idk

also does tilde (~) work to bring up the console?

if tilde doesn't work its probably locked up rather than a mouse issue

if the config uses scriptGL that's a common issue and u should try a non-scriptGL one
 
could also be the old 'disable high DPI scaling' compatibility setting if you have your windows font scaling set to anything but 100% which a lot of us do now CUZ WE'RE OLD

The laptop is win 10 pro, gtx1070, 1920x1080. I’m going to try the newer link you gave me tomorrow. Thanks for your help, I’ll let you know how it goes.

ya play with the right-click compatibility options i think it might be the DPI thing

u should be able to disable just it for Tribes, but keep the global windows setting at whatever u like by right clicking the .exe and setting this:

not missionlighting or editor

probably just Tribes.exe - whatever you click on to launch the game

some configs have a Tribes.exe and a TribesAfterHope.exe, the latter loads the afterhope anticheat, kinda gives u the option of using it or not
