Trump doesn***8217;t control states. Dem governors are the ones continuing the lockdowns. Compare Florida to California. Go ahead and move the goal post again.

Do you actually read what what you type? What exactly was Trump supposed to do in light of a pandemic that we did not have all the info on? Just say "**** it" and keep things going full bore? You seriously do not get it..you screech and whine with your little smart ass comments acting like you know better, but you are as dumb as blackpeople.
Edit: and money "paid out" to keep people surviving that trump's administration took action on..then you have that **** bag Pelosi try to push 3 Trillion "like no other".

We are no where near on the same page. Trump didn't have to do a lot but he did. The states themselves are the ones dictating the opening "phases" like idiots. There is no cure, there is no vaccine. Quinine seems to have the best results and libertards are going berserk even about that.

Why don't you leave and go live in whatever Asian ****hole your heritage is from.
Or even move somewhere great and move in with Anubis, Absent or Amadeus, the triple A team of European Idiocy.

I am more pessimist...
i am giving covid a 5-year timeline before we can say it's "post-covid" time. After which we've had countries in bankruptcy

Homelessness wil quadruple in the USA, with a tenfold increase by the end of the decade. Real meat, from cows, will jump in price to well over$25 a pound by 2023.
The New Depression will by far make the Great Depression look like a little slump. Bankruptcy will decimate businesses small and large. Meanwhile, even though global warming has been reduced slightly, the train has rolled out of the station. Earth will lose about 15% of its landmass by the end of the decade. New diseases will pop up regularly.

there is a very simple explanation for this.
everyone that dies with covid-19, no matter how they died, is counted as dying because of covid-19.
not everyone that has the flu is counted as having died because of the flu.
get it now, bro?

What about the death by Cuomo count? That is where you don't have Covid but Cuomo puts people with Covid near you until you get Covid and die?

Masks by restaurant personnel will become a regular sighting.
When I was younger, I spent many years in all varieties of restaurants, from fast food to fine dining French service. The one constant in all of them was that you get sick frequently, 4 or more times a year. This would eliminate that.
Many people who used to go to large group entertainment venues will stop and never go again. Sports, rock concerts and Disney World will never be the same with smaller crouds, so they'll eventually make up for that by raising prices.

Hertz just filed for bankruptcy. Now, they might just be looking for a bailout but that will have an impact on the auto industry for sure.
Probably been getting their asses kicked by Uber etc and now have a bunch of cars that are out of date and are looking for a convenient way to dump them. So - kind of a big nothing burger....
This source ponders the flooding of the market with used cars...
note: Hertz has over a billion in cash reserves so - there's that

Hertz Files For Bankruptcy, Raises Fears It May Flood Market With Hundreds Of Thousands Of Used Cars
BY Michael Gauthier | Posted on May 23, 2020 15
Hertz has filed for bankruptcy after being dealt a devastating blow by the coronavirus.
The Chapter 11 filing was made in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and includes its Hertz’s U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries.
The bankruptcy filing is intended to allow for a “financial reorganization” of Hertz as well as subsidiaries such as Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly. Hertz said their ultimate goal is to provide a “more robust financial structure that best positions the company for the future as it navigates what could be a prolonged travel and overall global economic recovery.”

Despite the bankruptcy filing, it’s business as usual as Hertz and its subsidiaries remain open. As a result, “all reservations, promotional offers, vouchers, and customer and loyalty programs” should continue as planned. The company also noted they have more than $1 billion (£821,959,400 / €917,010,700) in cash to support its continuing operations.
That’s a pretty significant cash reserve, but the company is drowning in approximately $17 (£13.9 / €15.6) billion in debt. The coronavirus has also ground travel to a halt, virtually eliminating the need for rental cars.
In the bankruptcy announcement, Hertz said “The impact of COVID-19 on travel demand was sudden and dramatic, causing an abrupt decline in the company’s revenue and future bookings.” The company went on to say they took immediate action in response to the pandemic and eliminated all non-essential spending as prioritized the health and safety of its customers and employees.
Unfortunately, these actions have also included mass layoffs. In particular, Hertz implemented furloughs and layoffs of 20,000 employees which is nearly 50% of its global workforce.
It remains unclear how the bankruptcy will pan out, but there have been fears the rental company could liquidate part of its fleet of roughly 570,000 vehicles. If this were to happen, it could flood the used car market and drag prices down significantly.

Let's pretend Trump had gone full dictator and ordered not just the banning of flights from China and Europe, but immediately decreed an emergency, mobilized the national guard, ordered governors to cancel all public gatherings to include political rallies. Ordered businesses closed unless essential. Say he had done that mid-February.
You don't think the media and the dems would be screaming about how he is deflecting from the impeachment, violating law by stopping the democratic primaries because he is afraid of Bernie, violating freedoms and due process, and destroying the economy???
Be honest (if you remember how).
He was damned no matter what he did.

Arsin is it? Welcome back.
By "entire pandemic focus," I was referring to the media attention which has been the main cause of the fear mongering. This of course will disappear once the election has been decided in November. If Trump wins, then the dems will have to invent yet another way to discredit him. If Biden wins, the Trump issue is solved; and, the media will relax its fear grip.
Of course the pandemic issue won't be solved by then. But at least the incessant media coverage will be less intense, at least in the U.S. where my personal perspective originates. The rest of the world has other issues than Trump.
Yes, my original phrasing was not clear enough. Sorry.
