lots of times i have come back to tribe and totaly forgot how to play and i just coast

i just happy i get picked in pu and get to play instead of obs


i think vanster big issue was he come back and expect to get picked and be respected 4 his opinion even tho he did not know anything

tpk seem to be like that too but at least now he admit he rusty and he does not seem to be complaining and whining as much as vanster did

i wuld say vanster did not suffer from rust he suffer from ignorance

when i think of vanster i think of never was has been never will be

if u suck at game but want 2 learn that is fine with me and real c00l i hope u play and i hope u enjoy tribe

2 many ppl do not play 2 have fun and learn game and get better

At this point it's gone on so long that I'm beginning to think that you might actually be truly curious.

Since I know you love tribes and I have love for all of my fellow tribers. I made this special list for you.

Why opsayo thinks tpk sucks at Tribes in September 2011:

By The Pumpkin King

1) No cheats.

2) 6 years of skill atrophy.

3) Bad connection / high ping.

4) Zero motivation to perform or impress.

5) Zero chaingun skills.

6) The opinion that LT is a very bad mod that isn't really Tribes.

7) Most of the game that I was good at has been removed. There are no generators, no turrets, no elf gun, no base rape, no mortars, no heavy armor, no plasma, no shield pack, and no mines.

8) Performance being judged entirely on me screwing around in LT mod pubs for the first time in 6 years while being heavily under the influence of drugs.

c tpk this gonna be only real post address u cuz i think ur opinion is off (i consider u as has-been take that as compliment)

some p eople see tribe as some kind of strategy relatively slow pace game involve lot of teamwork and many aspect of timing and everyrone has isolated roles and positions and they do their jobs separately and it comes 2gether in big picture. kind of like big wow instance raid and teams put together set organized plays

they like 2 focus on vehicles and diff armors and weapons and deployables and bases and objectives and things like that (do u like games with lots of comlpex classes and vehicles and shit like bf2 or rts games like command & conquer?)

maybe u like that maybe u dont

some other people c tribe as fast paced first person shooter with lot of skill and action involved where the teamwork is more dynamic and on the fly and require lot of fluid communication

they like tribes 4 the skiing and 3rd dimension and speed and the aim and gameplay (physics, game engine, etc.) - (do u like games like counter strike and tf2 or simple rts games like sc:bw??)

maybe u like that maybe u dont

but 2 sit here and tell people what tribe is and what isnt when not only r u outdated but u have zero understanding or expertise of modern day game and u are completely outclassed by the players u talkin shit 2 (even if u weren't rust-e fyi).

everybody love tribe 4 diff reason, some dont even like 2 play the base tribe mod (football annihilation ren etc) and that is ok with them because that is the spirit of tribes

and that y u r a huge nerd and i laugh at u

it not that u r old school that u get a lot of shit - it that thru ur speech and mannerisms people can peg u with regard to ur game skill and mental acuity. good players with raw talent and the gaming prowess 2 recognize changes in game skill and personal lacking can be seen clearly whether or not they r rusty.

4 quick example when leper jaymz and natural came back (3 diff occasions) evne tho they were rusty it was clear by how they talk about the game and the way they approach the game that they were very talented gamers and were below par due 2 rust and time and not due 2 mental faculties

then there r people like u and vanster where that is not the case

ya i wuld say coolest rusty elite ppl i play with were swank and woohoo

and nat easily #1

all these doods come back to the game and r easily some of the greatest ever

they ALWAYS first to say i suck etc be careful how u play me i will try best but i suck etc etc

and then they try and play their hardest

it awlays make for ggs they r good ppl and good tribe player
 
swank sat in obs for like 3 months while we all played and he did not get picked cuz he could not play at the level of the 10 ppl playing (i disagree with this shuld have been using more ppl but watever)

one day he get picked and underperform he apologize go back to obs and say he will learn again or he go pub

he show class and after a while i just invite him to pu and pick him over good player because i thot he deserve to play and chance to get better vs pro gamer
 
jaymz got decent but he understood his shortcomings very well - it is sign of intelligent individual and not self absorb moron

that is y when we talk after pu and smoke cigarette we bond a lot

then he gave me a lot of hax and i became good at tribe

I see it as both. I like the strategy elements, deployables, turrets, and I also love the gut-wrenching speed, reflex, and timing.

Your idea of "modern day game" is LT mod right? Not the more popular Annihilation mod?

Do you know the current top Annihilation player? What's his name?

Chances are you don't know his name, nor do you care... kind of like I feel about LT and all of its players.

LT is a joke. Nobody ever cared about LT, nobody ever played it, and nobody is playing it now. It's only good for screwing around on pubs with fewer players...

You will never ever see me succeeding at LT because it's gheyness destroys all of my motivation and drive to succeed at it. I much prefer just skiing around out of bounds, escorting, and screwing around with the voice pack, and generally not being very useful, because it's far more fun to pretend it's base and relive the past than it is to play in the crappy "modern day" version of the game, which is highly unbalanced, has a more boring skill set, and has a lower skill curve.

That being said, already understanding base mod, LT is just a highly simplified version of base. It's not rocket science to understand it.

I get a lot more praise than I get shit. Most people agree with my posts about Tribes and compliment me on my writing.

There will be a few people who think "LT in 2011" is the heart and soul of Tribes, and others who think that "T2 with rocket launcher, flares, and shrikes" is the soul of Tribes, and will probably disagree with some of the things I say, but it's natural for us to have our own opinions.

We all have a different idea or image of what Tribes is.

For me, Tribes is the game that people actually played and cared about. Tribes is "base mod 1999-2001" and arena. If you dislike me claiming to understand "Tribes" because you see Tribes as "Tribes LT 2011" then just know that when I am talking about Tribes, I am talking about "base mod" and leave it at that.

You have no grounds to put my knowledge of what I consider Tribes in question because my undefeated arena team, and my TF tag speaks a lot louder than your bullshit. :)

What it really comes down to is this Opsayo.


1) I like to talk about Tribes.

2) I succeeded at T1.

3) I have earned the right to talk about T1.

4) You agree with most everything that I say about Tribes anyway.

5) You have never even seen me play.

6) Kicking your ass in Tribes wouldn't change anything, and most likely would not release me from your gheyness. Agreed?

7) Only reason you think I'm a self-absorbed moron is because you don't know anything about me.
