Dirt is sort of my 'classic' AIC - that was the first album i'd heard from them, i was dating my first real girlfriend in grade 9 and it was her favorite album. She put it on the first time we made out, before that i pretty much only listened to Rap and it blew my mind. So every song off that album sorta personifies aic to me. I could listen to that whole album back to front for the rest of my life and not get sick of it.

as an odd addendum to that story about my first girlfriend, she was the yearbook editor during my graduation year, but i skipped the picture day (i always skipped yearbook pics, fuck that).

so instead of a blank like everyone else who missed the picture, she made mine a picture of Layne :)

he didn't die until way later :p
